Turbo G43
Turbo G43
The Turbo G43 vaporizer is an 18mm injector-style device designed for high performance and efficiency. Each unit is hand-built using USA-made borosilicate glass, a 316L stainless steel heating coil, and "white sapphire" synthetic corundum balls (clear rubies).
The name stands for its main components:
Glass slide
4mm glass rod
3mm balls
Design
These are the main differences between the "OG" G43 and the newer Turbo variant:
Original G43:
- Developed in 2018
- 25mm long heating element
- Borosilicate balls
- Runs at ~12 watts
- Bowl and heater are one piece (you load herb into joint of slide)
- Ground glass joint
- Optimal load size of 0.2-0.25g
Turbo G43:
- Developed in 2023, revised in 2026
- 47mm long heating element (approx. entire length of slide)
- White sapphire balls (clear rubies)
- Runs at ~18-22 watts (~50% more power)
- Load ground herb in separate bowl (18mm or 14mm available)
- Polished glass joint
- Optimal load size of 0.1-0.15g
Both designs deliver highly complex flavors and potent effects. The optimal load size of the Turbo G has been reduced to ~0.15g, with the ability to micro-dose with as little as 0.1g.
Unlike many other ball vapes that use PIDs requiring ~100 watts, the Turbo G43 is highly power-efficient running at only ~20 watts. It also reheats quickly after each draw, returning to operating temperature within 30 seconds.
Safety
Safety was a core consideration during the design of the G43. While the outer glass does become hot during use, it is designed so that a quick, accidental touch will not cause a burn. It does not require a heat shield and is safer than standard coil-based systems for both people and pets. Always be careful when dealing with hot surfaces, and you should never leave the device unattended when powered on.
No separate stand is required for the G43, which is another differentiation from most ball vaporizers. The heater can remain on the bowl between hits without cooking the herb - excess heat naturally dissipates out of the top of the device.
Usage
The Turbo G43 works with any glass rig or j-hook, large or small. It uses a separate glass bowl, available in both 18mm and 14mm sizes to match the joint of your glass.
A variable-voltage power adapter is required. It should be adjustable up to 12V and must be rated for at least 5A. Basic wall adapters like the one available with this kit are inexpensive and widely available (~$20).
- Voltage: The recommended voltage range is 7.0V to 7.8V, with 7.2V being a good starting point. Do not exceed 8.0V. Initial heat-up time from cold start is 8-10 minutes.
- Load Size: The recommended load is between 0.1g and 0.15g, with a maximum capacity of 0.25g.
- Draws: You can expect 2 to 3 full draws from a typical load. No wait required between pulls.
- Stirring: Stir the herb or shake the bowl between hits, ensuring your material is level on the screen.
- No Burn-off: During the build process I bring each unit up to operating temperature two times, so you do not need to do a burn-off before using it.
Handle
The G43 comes standard with a 1.2" glass handle with black heat shrink for better grip (user-removable if desired). An optional 2.5" walnut wood handle, made in the USA by Simrell, is also available as an add-on.
